Monday
Beautiful sunny day, although a bit brisk. A day to let go of stress, a day of healing, stretching, spiritually, being open to all that spirit have to offer. A day for self-reflection and self-awareness.
Tuesday
I went for a long walk. I enjoyed taking up my old hobby of snapping photos of random things which showed up on my path. There were lots of them today, six white doves, yes, six, first time I have seen six white doves, anywhere. Two magpies, a white feather, nowhere near the white doves, one robin, a squirrel (which came right up to close to say hello), three black cats in separate locations, one tabby cat which rolled at my feet and showed me a beautiful, vulnerable tummy. So many lost gloves and hats, I lost count, but I did take snaps just to add to my collection.
I considered going to visit my friend called Ellie, but I changed my mind on the way round there and swerved off to the park to absorb the healing vibrations of fauna and flora. On my way home a lady walking her beautiful, blonde haired labrador stopped for a chat. She spoke about her dog in that loving way only committed dog owners can.
'What's her name?' I was prompted to ask.
'Ellie' she said.
I had a little chuckle, I did explain that I was going to visit my friend called Ellie but I had changed my mind, I don't think it meant anything to her,but it may have done, often people don't like to admit that they find any significance in coincidence. I also had a chat with the owner of a little brown chocolate dog called Bella. No coincidence involved, but who knows who could show up tomorrow?
A wrong number on the telephone. Someone wanting a Mr Dean.
Wednesday
Went to church, had a lovely time. The medium used the words 'you never know what you are going to get' which is exactly the phrase I had used at a job interview, one where I didn't get the job. Not meant to be. I met a new friend called Jenny who gave me a lift to Iceland and waited patiently while I did a bit of shopping and then proceeded to drive me home to my front door! Thank you Universe for a fabulous lift.
Thursday
Brings the final week of College, I will be half way through this year's Diploma Course.
The session was smooth and pleasant. I enjoyed the experience. My son called round for dinner. It was lovely to see him.
Friday
Cars gave way to me, on my pedestrian travels, various cars of different shapes and sizes, some friendly drivers, some waving me on impatiently, but giving way nonetheless.
Saturday
Asked for Directions to the Ridgeway. Do I know it? Well, I went for an interview there this week, so, yes, I really do know it. I pointed the young man to the end of the road, told him to turn right at the traffic lights and the road he needed was practically parallel to where we were standing when he asked me. As he headed off I realised there was actually a short cut and a quicker way to get to his destination, so I called him back, I had to shout at the top of my voice, him being a young man he had hoofed off in the direction I sent him. The wind carried my voice and he returned to hear the shortcut version. I continued my journey, reminded I am the person who knows the way.
Lots of love and light to everyone who needs it.

Paying attention to nature
Another of my favourite past-times is to notice nature, especially living in a built up urban area, to see a squirrel clinging to a tree, followed by a robin on my path, I have attributed both these little creatures to people who have meaning for me. I take their showing up as a sign from spirit, a reminder of these people in my world and I silently send a thought of thanks out into the Universe towards these people.
So, there I was, walking to work, on the final day of a job I have been doing for six months. Walking through icy rain, sleet, if you will, and paying attention to the icy pavement when a beautiful little robin landed directly on my path, out of nowhere. I thanked my Guardian Angels and Spirit Guides for the reminder and I sent a prayer up to my brother, Robert, in spirit.
Continuing on my path, I noticed four black crows. Crows, for me, symbolise messengers and good news, particularly of a spiritual nature or spiritual growth. Often, before I experience any massive change in my life I come across four crows. Not three, or five or six or seven, it is usually four. So I took the sign that there will be plenty of changes coming up for me and I am grateful for spirit for bringing these symbols of nature for me to enjoy and interpret.
Thank you Spirit for helping me to be aware of your presence and for allowing me to share the symbols and natural events which help me to balance out the frenetic pace of living in a material world.
Lots of love and light to everyone who needs it.

The Golden Shepherd dog named Rosie
Life in Westcliff continues. I haven't been asked for directions for at least a week, but I have received three pens courtesy of Avon. As a Sales Rep consistently hitting my sales targets, I have been rewarded with promotional pens. Lovely. There is always room for another pen. A reminder to write. A note from spirit to remember why I am here.
Okay then. What else have a I managed to notice this week? Well, heading to a healing meeting, a little experience of crystal healing I bumped into a friend who is not just a qualified healer (you know, all the certificates and everything) but she is actually a healing presence. You know the sort of person, one who exudes peace, calm, serenity and who you just know has healing qualities. Unfortunately, she was busy and didn't have time to stop and join me for the crystal healing experience, but the opportunity was there for her, courtesy of bumping into me and being informed about the meeting. I did my bit. Maybe when the next one is on I will find out about it earlier and be able to let her know in advance.
This is me, doing my bit.
The Westcliff Spiritualist Church also had their Autumn Fayre. Despite it being the first week in September, temperatures are soaring, it was probably better, hotter, weather this week than during the week of the Summer Fayre. I went along to offer my services as an Angel Card Reader. I am happy to sit in Church helping to raise funds to help cover their overheads. But what's this? Wait. The SNU, the Spiritualists National Union, or something, do not allow Angel Card Readings. I am astounded, absolutely amazed that an organisation which finds it okay to communicate with the dead (or still living, really) doesn't accept Angel Cards.
I can tell you blogger, both my eyebrows shot up. What an eye opener. I love the Angel Cards, everyone I know enjoys the Angel Cards, they are a source of healing and comfort, a reminder that we are not alone, everyone has a Guardian Angel to call on in times of need. I am not really sure how an organisation can call themselves spiritual and yet reject an offer to help using Angel Cards. No. Not for me. I can't tell you how amazed I was at this revelation. Still, I blink my eyes a bit, get over the shock of that piece of news and make a mental note to find a church who enjoys Angel Cards as much as I do.
Walking back from being snubbed by the Church I bumped into a woman walking a young pup. Four months old she is, beautiful golden fur 'what sort of dog is she?' I ask, because that is what you do when you meet someone with a young dog. 'A Golden Shepherd'. Oh. Half Golden Retriever, half German Shepherd and her name is Rosie. Lovely. She was the 13th one of her litter. I exchange pleasantries, complimenting her lovely nature and as I walk home I am grateful for the interaction. Yes, the Golden Shepherd, I am reminded of the Shepherd who was shown an Angel. The name Rosie? yes, my Dad's sister was called Rose. 13th one? Yes, my Dad was also the 13th one.
The Spiritualist Church may not accept Angel Card readings, but yet another coincidental meeting reminds me that God works in mysterious ways and when one door closes somewhere a window opens.
Lots of love and light to everyone who needs it.

Three wise mules
Yes, so, really this isn't a 'stand alone' blog. This follows on from my previous two blogs about my little trip to Devon to visit my Mum and the sort of coincidences and events that cropped up on my path.
One of the longest chain of coincidences happened to me following the Blue Moon at the end of August, my birthday weekend. I was 46. A new chapter has begun. I feel as though I have passed a milestone, completing my degree with the Open University. Charlie, my son has made it through his first year at Uni, having passed his exams with flying colours and he is now going to experience an independent lifestyle, sharing a house with four other students. They will be having some fun I am sure.
This leaves me free to do what I want, when I want, where I want with whom I want. The only restriction I have placed on me is a financial restriction. I am limited by my lack of access to funds. Which is fine, I am managing, I am getting through it, just about.
But it has been eighteen years since my last holiday abroad, eighteen long years. Although the appeal of travel abroad never goes away, the ability to jump on a plane and head off to pastures new has eluded me. So, to be able to travel three hundred miles away for a little stay somewhere other than Westcliff absolutely filled me with pleasure, excitement, gratitude and a great sense of reward. I felt as if I have been rewarded by Spirit for the dedication, commitment and discipline it has taken to get us to this point. I have done well. Just getting here, I have done well.
Not having seen my Mum for a long time, I cannot even remember the last time I went down to Devon to see her, I may have gone down there about 2005, but I could be imagining that. I have definitely been since the year 2000, so it could literally be twelve years since I have been down there. Purely for financial reasons, lack of resources has prevented me from visiting. So, catching up and having a little chat about what I believe in and how the Universe communicates in all sorts of ways, and how I see this as Spirit helping to guide us on our journey I was talking about my son, Charlie, and how he still has friends in Southend, Ashley and a new housemate, Ben and I spotted three donkeys on the grass at the top of the seafront.
'let's go and see the donkeys Mum' I suggested. 'They are a kind of wildlife'. I had a feeling we were meant to be looking at them. 'The donkeys?' my Mum couldn't understand why I would want to go and look at the donkeys. As we walked over a lovely blonde-haired donkey came over and he had the name 'Ashley' written on his noseband. 'Look, Mum, he is called Ashley!' I exclaimed. We both laughed, I had literally just been talking about Ashley. Then the second, dark-haired donkey came over. He had 'Ben' written on his noseband. 'No way.' I said 'Ben is dark-haired' and I had just been talking about him. I just knew the third donkey was going to be called Charlie. Over it came....'Charlotte' on the headband. The young girl attempting to guide her around the field was clearly struggling with the stubborn mule. 'what is that donkey's name?' I asked. 'Charlotte' she said 'but we call her Charlie'.
Yes, I just knew she was going to say that.
We did enjoy the coincidence and I know that was a once in a lifetime experience that you just couldn't engineer or make up.
Thank you to Spirit for allowing me to savour the moment and really fully enjoy the coincidences that kept coming up, time and time again, all weekend.
Lots of love and light to everyone who needs it.

The Animal Totem - Squirrel
I love to take pictures of little squirrels. I saw two squirrels yesterday being chased up a tree by a dog who was just too slow! Whenever I see a squirrel I am reminded of my son, for me squirrels are quick, intelligent hoarders.
I found the following on the internet today, animal totems people call them.
You know, where the animal symbolises another meaning from spirit, signs of these animals bring messages or news, reminders, teachings and of course upliftment.
The gathering power of Squirrel is a great gift.

They remind us that in our quest for our goals,
it is vital to make time for play and socializing.
Squirrel teaches us to conserve our energy for times of need.
If your totem is Squirrel or Squirrel has recently entered your life,
lighten your load of things that are unnecessary –
things that you have gathered in the past and may be cluttering your life –
thoughts, worries, and stresses.
Squirrel is also the totem of action.
Ask yourself are you too active, not active enough, afraid of enough,
hung up on accumulating and collecting.
Squirrel people tend to be a little erratic – trying to do many things at once.
Take the time to stop and listen to your inner self – and don’t forget to play!
Lots of love and light to everyone who needs it.

Signs and symbolism from nature. Playing the Game.
I go about my daily business on the Dark of the Moon with an awareness that by focusing on nature's messengers (in my case these range from anything furry with four legs to petals forming shapes on my path) I will be drawing my attention to things that are already there.
This is not the game. The game is to communicate with the universe by just being aware of what is going on around you on a daily basis and to try and identify the hidden meaning or warning of some event whether joyful or sad or exciting or unexpected by reading the symbolism of your life.
You know the game, you do it every day. The car starts first time, yay! how wonderful, you head off on your journey without giving it a second thought. A day comes when the car doesn't start, and you have a flat battery. Time to re-charge your own batteries? This is the game. Interpreting life events as a reflection of what is going on for you personally, either physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually.
Generally I think that electrical dysfunctions are usually problems that our minds are working on, usually needlessly, but all mind-related. Unless it is the washing machine and there is water involved and then I take it as an emotional issue that needs looking at.
Everytime a lightbulb pops I cannot help but just think there is a little light gone out in someone's world, somewhere. Usually it is someone I know and I do get to hear about it.
My journey today brought me a little trip to the Civic Centre to buy some garden waste bags. As I walked up to the Civic, two crows landed in my path. As I was taking their picture a young couple happened to walk up behind me pushing a buggy. I had a little chat with them, explaining it is really hard to get close to crows because they always fly away. Click. picture capture. fly away crows. The young couple actually didn't look at me as if I am crazy, taking random pictures of wildlife on a busy main road. I explained that seeing crows is news that I will have something to crow about. Something to crow about. They both laugh and the young lady explains that she has crows in her back garden all the time. I say they must be very fortunate! They both laugh, no, this is not the case. Okay then. I suggest it could be time for them to do the lotto. Then I have an inkling that this is not for them and I am seeing the image of a horse. 'Or time to bet on the horses?' they exchanged a look as if I must have been ear-wigging. The young man explained they had literally just been having the conversation about how the thought had crossed his mind to go into a betting shop and put some money on a horse, and he hasn't done that for months. We all laugh and I carry on my journey. My journey takes me to the Civic. No, no garden bags for £3.00. Not anymore. Go to the library.
Of course, the Library. Why didn't I think of that? the obvious place to purchase garden waste bags. After the queue at the civic I go to the library and start queuing again. Who is in front of me? yes, the young couple. Fortunately, we all have a little chuckle because our paths have crossed again, although I am starting to feel like a stalker. £5.50 for garden bags from the library. The grass had better slow down.
A trip to the shops, all the little things I need to make my life work, toothpaste, loo-roll, tin-foil. An item I couldn't find, a curtain pole which won't be in until after Saturday. Okay then, I guess the timing of that little journey will lead me to bumping into someone else to share some information.
On the way home I take a diversion, I decide that I haven't played the Universe game today and I will take a walk through the park to help the spirit game along, by visiting a place where there are birds, squirrels, dogs, robins, butterflies and all the things that I like to see.
Things that I expect to see in the park. I expect to see at least one magpie, probably a crow, a squirrel, hopefully a robin and anything else nature intends for me to appreciate. I walk through the park. Nothing. Not one little iota, apart from a pigeon. So, I have a little mug of tea in the cafe and do some people watching. Maybe the universe wants me to notice something different. I am torn between paying attention and focusing on things I do want to see, and being open to experiencing new things. So, after my tea and yes I admit it, a plate of chips (thinly disguised with a tomato and some watercress, clearly to give the appearance of healthy eating), I decide to take a little stroll past the old monastery.
I sit at my favourite bench by a little circular pond and I decide that I will sit for 5 minutes. I have given up waiting to see any of my usual messengers from nature and then I see movement in the pond. There is a brown duck. One singular duck. I have never seen a duck in this circular pond before. It is news to me that the water is clean enough for a duck. The water and brown stuff floating on the top is a very similar colour to the brown duck. I take some pictures and wonder at this new sight. Another thing I do is to use animals that I see to represent people who I know in real life. So if I see a squirrel, I think of my son, if I see a tabby cat I think of me and everyone I know has an animal attributed to them. So I wonder who this duck is. The duck cleans itself and shows off some purple and green feathers, in fact it virtually bends over backwards to clean under some hard to get places. Hm. Do I know someone who has to bend over backwards to get my attention? Don't know. This could be symbolic of a new person.
So, I leave the duck to enjoy the sunshine and I vaguely notice the pair of butterflies, a symbol of spiritual growth and happiness. I step out from this chamber of flowers and peace into a wide open green expanse of grass. Where there is a crow sitting in the middle of the green. I take a pic. Five seagulls are watching from the safety of the monastery roof. This is a regular spot for them, even though they are nowhere near the sea. I take another pic. I walk down some steps and a small bird flies right across my eye line and perches on a branch, on my path. It is a robin. I literally have to take a step back away from it to take a pic. Now it seems, everywhere I step there is a creature from nature rushing out to greet me. Another corner, another bird literally on my path. First a blackbird, then a magpie and then a man with his two dogs disturbs the magpie and so I head off in a direction away from the dog, in time to see a squirrel run out, spot me, and run up a tree.
I have a little laugh to myself. I have walked through that park, looking for these things. They weren't there. They did not show themselves to me. Not until it was time for me to go. At the last possible minute, I see one thing after another. Perfect.
I walk home feeling lighter, in spite of the chips.
Just playing the game.
Love and light to everyone who needs it.

Love and light to everyone who needs it.

two builders a Rottweiler and a Staffordshire Bull Terrier
Builders have arrived next door, along with the red brick dust, banging and general disruption they also bring a cheery smile and a little chat every day. Having mentioned in passing that I am learning animal communication and linking with spirit is what I do...somehow this translates to...'what dog have I got?' I have already mentioned in passing that I keep bumping into lost Staffs...naturally, the enquiring builder has a Staff; as he stands looking questioningly at me, he is joined by his fellow roofer wearing shades and a grumpy look because clearly what I am saying is just BS eh? 'Well, it is not a Rottweiller' I can say this with some certainty, they both laugh, guess what dog the Sunglass wearing, BMW driving roofer has?, naturally, a Rottweiller.
Note to Self: must come up with a phrase that explains why I don't use psychic gift for party tricks without offending the questioner.
This is what happens when trying to perform party tricks...'guess what dog I have got' is NOT the way forward and although the two dog breeds I have mentioned ARE both the dog breeds owned by these two builders, it is a fleeting by chance information passing conversation that can belittle animal communication.

Love and light to all who need it x
